DG Bipin Chachan, District Governor 2024-25, Rotary International District 3250
DG Bipin Chachan, a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Pataliputra, hails from a business family in Muzaffarpur. He completed his Master’s degree from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he established Plant Remedies Pvt Ltd, a manufacturing unit of pesticides, in Hajipur.
Rotary Journey: Bipin joined Rotary in 2007 and swiftly rose through the ranks due to his commitment and leadership. He served as Club President in 2013-14, during which he transformed RC Pataliputra into the first 100% PHF club in Bihar. His notable achievements include launching the Mukti Rath project in Patna, which continues to thrive, earning the club the ‘Best Club of the District’ recognition.
District Leadership: Bipin advanced to district roles starting in 2015-16 as an AG, Foundation. Over the years, he has served in various capacities:

Major Contributions: Bipin has spearheaded several impactful Global Grants projects, including:
- Three Rotary Dialysis Centres
- Rotary Blood Bank with a Cell Separator
- Rotary Eye Hospital
- Ventilator and Dialysis Machine at Mahavir Heart Hospital in Patna
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a crucial role in arranging oxygen cylinders and establishing an Oxygen Concentrator Bank through crowdfunding, providing vital resources to various clubs in the district.
Innovative Initiatives: Bipin initiated the concept of young generation clubs, such as Pataliputra NextGen, fostering youth involvement in Rotary. He is a proud member of the Paul Harris Society and a Major Donor.
Family and Personal Life: Bipin's partner, PP Shilpi Chachan, is an active Rotarian who has served the district as Assistant Governor and District Secretary-General. Their eldest son, Kunal, has joined the family business and is a Rotarian. Their younger son, Kushal, after pursuing a bachelor’s in computer engineering in the USA, is now working with AMD, an American multinational corporation and semiconductor company. He deeply admires his parents’ philanthropic efforts.
